Fused clapton wire usually comprises of a two wire core with a thinner wire wrapped diagonally around them. The two core wires start parallel to each other before being wrapped. There can be a slight twist to these wires when wrapped or they can be kept flat and parallel.

These wires both have a slight twist to the finished build. For a flat clapton wire, we suggest the Alien Clapton or staggered coil
